The events in Monterey Park and Half Moon Bay, California was a profound tragedy for the victims, their families, and the larger community. In the wake of such trauma, paralysis from fear and grief is understandable. But to transcend such unimaginable violence it is essential that we come together to help and support one another. We hope this resource document can aid our Michigan Asian American families as we grieve and recover. Donation links are provided to aid the families of victims, and we urge community members to use the information below as a resource for those in need of support from mental healthcare professionals, social workers and mutual aid organizations.
In times of crisis, we can assure our friends, family and loved ones that they are not alone and that help is within reach.
When we come together, our beloved communities can be a source of solace, a place to find safety and a pathway to healing and recovery.
